Or do you not want an extra nitrogen shot in your carrots? Or maybe the roots would get entangled in the carrots, which would be a pain in the ass. I dunno, actually. The legumes = nitrogen is all the plant science I've got. Sverre says carrots need lots of water...maybe peas don't? Maybe you could grow carrots AFTER peas.
